Baruipur High School was established in 1858, just after the year of the historical ‘Sepoy Mutiny’. From the very beginning, this school managed to have her place as an institution of high esteem. For over a century, Baruipur High School is being considered one of the best educational institutions of West Bengal. Not only in the academic field of excellence, even in the arena of sports and culture, computer education and literary activities, our school proved her superiority. ………
From Headmaster's Desk
There are currently 2350 students V to XII enrolled in our school. We are an inclusive school community with a particular focus on the need to be respectful, be responsible and be inquisitive learners. The vision of our school is to encourage the whole development of the students. Our aim is to reflective and critical in their thinking as good citizens.
Our staff and community have high expectations and aspirations for their students and these are realised through the skill and dedication of our highly qualified teaching staff and are reflected in the quality learning outcomes achieved by our students.
Students at Baruipur High School continue to achieve excellence in State and National testing in literacy and numeracy and also in the College and University competitions. The performing arts play a very important role in the education of our students with opportunities to participate in dance, drama and cultural programme. Sport also plays an important role, with students given the opportunity to participate in inter-school sport and a range of other sporting opportunities. Especially we set a mile stone in sports like Hockey, Gymnastic.
In addition to our online classroom, we also offer an option to take part in a live classroom. It takes place in our campus located in South 24 Paraganas , West Bengal, India. Here you’ll be able to use the most up-to-date facilities and computer equipment.

Acknowledgment of Computer Learning
The school has received the ‘Computer Literacy Excellency Award’ for notable achievements in computer education in 2004. The former Headmaster of the school, Sri Subhas Chandra Nanda received the award from the Hon’ble President of India A. P. J Abdul Kalam on 7th December,2005. The man who had envisioned the journey of this field and it was not possible without him, was the earlier Headmaster and mentor of the school Sri Bimal Chandra Paul, who had the indomitable eagerness to bring out the best from this Institution. Those men who had made this dream come true were former computer teacher Sri Pranab Roy and Sri Koushik Das.
Glorious Moment
We feel proud to have such a wonderful colleague and mentor to work with Subhas Chandra Nanda ,who started his journey as an Assistant Teacher but through his hard work he earned the post of Assistant Headmaster and also he had to act as TIC of this institution. Later he became Headmaster of this institution. He gave us the homely ambiance to work with. He carried out the legacy of his predecessors. Through his journey of almost 35 years he earned not only respect from others but also gave us the glorified moment to celebrate when he was awarded ‘Shikharatna’ by the governor of West Bengal.
