Baruipur High School was established in 1858, just after the year of the historical ‘Sepoy Mutiny’. From the very beginning, this school managed to have her place as an institution of high esteem. For over a century, Baruipur High School is being considered one of the best educational institutions of West Bengal. Not only in the academic field of excellence, even in the arena of sports and culture, computer education and literary activities, our school proved her superiority.  

In the year 2004 Baruipur High School was conferred the ‘Computer Literacy Award’ by the Honorable President of India. Again in 2017, this school has been selected as one of the top ten schools of West Bengal. For years the hockey team of Baruipur High School, is taking part in the prestigious Neheru Cup National Hockey Tournament as the champion team from Bengal. Besides, students from this institution are continuously showing their abilities in athletics, chess and other sports.

In 1996, 1998 and in 2020 Baruipur High School managed to have place in top tens of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Examination. Every year our students take part in various cultural and literary activities throughout their academic session which help to enhance the environment of this school as well as the environment of the surrounding areas.
